Ecopix provides a link between those who need images and the specialised photographers required to do justice to natural subjects. Ecotourism, natural resource management, environmental management and environmental education need specialist photographers with the appropriate skills, knowledge and equipment.

Some of the users of these photographers on assignments have included:

• A national conservation group embarking on a major fundraising drive;
• A national magazine seeking fresh material on an iconic World Heritage Area;
• A government department needing to illustrate a botanical CD-ROM requiring technical images;
• A community group working on an education campaign with a government grant;
• An ecotourism enterprise needing material for advertising and advertorial use;
• A local government wishing to promote the natural attractions of its area.

Currently three experienced professional photographers are available for assignment. Two are based in Queensland, Australia but regularly travel throughout the region; the other is in Sydney.
